PWRC STI Arai-val

While Subaru have pulled from WRC, the PWRC is still one of their goals and Toshihiro Arai still gets massive support from them.

Over the years he has also come to develop some of his own parts for the car and the latest one looks awesome.

He is an extremely well known guy in Japan's rally circles. http://www.toshiarai.com/
Taking the PWRC title in 2005 and many other race wins.

Some of the detail pieces are nice. you can't see the awesome business interior, but the mirrors show the quality.

I thought about putting this dry carbon roof vent in my bag. Uninstalled, it was held on the car with just the tiniest pieces of tape.... hehe.

Yes, it's a race car.

Huge brake upgrade is requirement for forest and mountain stages. New Work 11R wheels do the hard work.

I absolutely love rally cars in tarmac spec. they simply look tough. Tsumagoi Rally in Japan is first.29th Jan

Want your own... start with this Arai tuned Sti. Spec C

Left Field Westfield

One of the craziest cars at TAS was this westfield. Having watched the build of this car it was very interesting to see it come together. But who would have thought you would tune something that is aready an awesome lightweight machine.

One Guess. Crazy old Amemiya-san. He has already created about 5000000 million Rx7 FD3s derivations and the Rx8 isn't really worth chasing speed with, so he turned his attention to something more personal.

The result is amazing and totally unexpected. While not exactly F1, it sits somewhere in between road and race car. The first thing you notice is cowl. dropping down to a more pointed design and greeted with a superb dry carbon splitter/wing. it immediately defines this as a crazy body kit for a westfield.

The eyes define the face of the car and the tube frame recieves splashes of red on the suspension. This theme is carried onto the ninja theme.

Some big spacers help with wheel placement on the front. Sponsored RE-Amemiya spec items include Quantum suspension, Enkei wheels, Advan Rubber, Bride seats, ORC clutch and M7 parts. Under the bonnet there is an NA 13b that should propel this lightweight machine to criminal speed pretty quickly.

On the way aft. You find a spartan interior with just the essentials. Brake bias adjuster is one of them. Harness is another.

Rear end is pretty interesting too. Vented fenders, Large carbon wing and flat floor diffusser, should help handling.

The car is really small.  With no roll over protection.
Definately need your helmet in this one.

Final Connection GTR34

The Tokyo Auto Salon provided this car. It simply Stood out among everything. and it wasn't even displayed well. According to Final Connection it is just a crappy ER34. Maybe not a true King of Auto Salon contender, but for a street car. This would be interesting.

But... The high contrast and width of this car is amazing.

A GT-R34 is big but not super huge. This kit makes it look as big as a R35. Now thats big.

Rear end gets a small rear wing. I can only imaging this thing witha 2000mm Sard gt wing and a carbon bonnet.

As it is with full black out windows and headlight covers, there is a bit of RC look. It certainly doesn't look real.

The Z tune inspiration is obvious, but this needs another letter in the alphabet. What comes after Z? ZZ

Interestingly a lot of American and Australian parts are finally making it to japan. This car featured legendary http://www.briancrower.com/ camshafts. Check the kit here. http://www.finalkonnexion.co.jp/lineup/popup/nissan_27.html

EVOlicious

Kumakubo and JUN. Koyama san's news....

Koyama have a new.

Time Attack machine.

Black Evo's and GT-R35s look the same. It was hard to tell them apart on the Runduce stand.

not that it's a bad thing. This angle looks great.

Black on black on black on black. Gun Metal on Black...

Cockpit tatebashi. Still running strong. I like the subtle rear mud flaps.

They skould rebrand Voltex canards as Katana.

Stance on this car is amazing. the rear over fenders are hilarious though.

Leg choppers in full effect here.

I love the striking image of this car. RS advans are great match,

Hate the front canards though. You can't beat Voltex so don't try.

Side view is strong.

JUN rear diffuser is cool.

VR.G2 on Varis.

G-Force and Varis. Grunty. Front is very R35 though. Squared off more.

Reflect on this! TE37 are very old now. Still the coolest.

Lovely.

Endless and TE37 are timeless.

Contrast is good on this car. Everything matches or doesn't match well.

Cusco Rally Japan Tarmac Spec. Theres a Kyushu event coming up.

WRC style interior is awesome. Suede dash.

o
HKS Kansai font view is great.

Gloss or Flat/ Wet orDry Carbon... make up your mind people. There was a little too much of this at TAS this year.

Contrast here.

Seibon weave looks good... but.. HKS kansai lip looks better.

Thats all my Evo shots.... Advan RG-D are simply too cool.

Inspire the next project.

Battle Evome Round2

o                      my                          godzilla. YMS Gyoda Blog with help from TFR and Supernow ran around 1.01 at tsukuba...yesterday  but sooo cool..

Silvia's fenders are fixed about 2" out from the bonnet. How's that for panel gap.
It's still the quickest thing at Tsukuba these days. 55.563! Easy. Thats a record for this car and pushing for the Rear wheel drive record.

http://eyevio.jp/movie/335039 This is his incar race view. Taking the WIN.
